Our Bags are Packed!

We have been so blessed to be accepted at St. Jude Hospital in Memphis. We will be there for 6 weeks. We get to stay there the entire time. Eddie is driving with our 3 year old daughter, Ally. And Mason and I get to fly out of KC tomorrow morning. Mason's first airplane trip!! He felt wonderful this afternoon. We are still in awe at all the support. Mason was surprised today by Brookside Science and Toy, they brought rocks for him to go through, it was the most amazing time. Thanks to our neighbor Carolyn for organizing his awesome surprise. There are so many kind hearts everywhere and we thank everyone for all the outpouring of love. I am speechless. Can't wait for our arrival in Memphis. We will miss our son Maverick, but he is thrilled to be with grandma and will enjoy some one-on-one time, and play dates.
Keep the prayers coming.

Mason has been in our prayers since I heard last week. Hard to wrap your mind around the sudden changes in your family and what you must be going through. I hope you all have safe travels and Mason responds to the treatment! You are the sweetest family, so heart wrenching to hear what you are all going through. Mallory cannot wait for Mason to return so they can look at her rock collection under her neon lamps. Be brave Mason! Andria and Eddie~ If you ever need anything we are just around the corner. I would be more than happy to come mow while you are gone!

My prayers are with you as you travel to St. Jude. Mason is in my workshop class at school. He is such a sweet boy. We miss him. I love the Missouri Tiger shirt that he has on in the photo! Safe travels!

Love,
Mrs. Johnston

Celia shared your news with me. I am sad to hear about Mason but I know you are going to a wonderful hospital that can offer you treatment and lots of hope. You and your family will be in my prayers. Please let me know if you need anything...Diane (Katzer) Ryan, your old across the street neighbor...

Keep that spirit high! Take in all the happiness, reflect on the other (not so happy) stuff. Never be shy to embrace the smiles and laughs. It will keep you(r family) going. Those will be the days that you remember through all the maddness.

We wish you all the luck in the world with your journey to St. Judes. Maverick and Ian played baseball this afternoon! It was so neat to see both of them just playing and enjoying the afternoon. I also saw Maverick taking out the trash this evening..and it reminded me of being the man of the house! We will continue to be here for Maverick and Mimi through this difficult time. Our prayers are with Mason and your whole family.
