No sleep tonight.....

We are home. And I wish with all my might that I was a magician or could whip up something wonderful to say. Sure it is great news, the tumor slightly improved and then....the facts . It is still there. No more treatment. Where is a crystal ball? Or words to say? Tonight, I don't carry lucky pennies, or wish on falling stars, I pray the Lord......

Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

sending love and prayers today

Dear Kempf Family,

Wow! I wish I had some wonderful words of wisdom. Or I wish more than life itself that I had a cure in my back pocket. Please know that I am praying and praying and praying some more for you and your entire family. I am allowed to say this SUCKS? Peace, Kim and the Brood

why no more treatment?

The typical treatment for this tumor is radiation. There are many trials going on to determine if there is a drug that aids with radiation or can even kill the tumor. We were told that the pons (brain stem) can only handle so much radiation. In the future, there maybe other trials available, but those decisions will be decided down the road.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.
